It's Closer Than it Seems

Even though my house is nearly all packed up, it still doesn't quite seem like in a week and a half I will be living in San Diego. It still seems a little Surreal. But I do know that the time will fly by between now and next Thursday. Ryan and I have a pretty packed schedule for the next week or so. Family is starting to come on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning for the weekend. I walk in my graduation ceremony on Thursday and he walks in his on Friday. We are having a graduation party on Saturday and Ryan is teaching on Sunday. I will have two more night shifts next week and a going away party that work is having for me. Needless to say, I have managed to once again really fill up my schedule. 

Ryan and I took a quick trip to San Diego today to sign the lease, get keys to our apartment, and move a few boxes of books and odds and ends. Our apartment is nice and in a good, quiet location. It is on the third floor; Ryan is very happy that we are hiring movers to move all our stuff. Just the ten or so boxes we moved today was enough to validate having movers do the rest. The kitchen is much smaller than the one we have now; I will miss all the space I have in my current kitchen as well as the double ovens. I am going to have to get used to cooking on a gas stove again as well.
