Moving & Procrastination
Ryan has taught me the true art of procrastination and I have perfected it! I thought originally maybe I was just beginning to procrastinate in writing papers towards the end of school, but in reality I have become a procrastinator in everything...For example, in the morning when I am supposed to wake up, I have learned to set my alarm 30 minutes early knowing that I will hit the snooze button for at least 45 minutes. Amazingly, Ryan sleeps through this most of the time. Now, with just about 4 or 5 weeks left before we head off to San Diego, I haven't even begun to pack anything. I am not sure if this is due to the fact that the thought of even beginning and where to begin is overwhelming or if sleep just sounds better (since I work primarily night shift, sleep is always a better alternative). It may be due to the fact that we aren't quite sure exactly where we are going to live in San Diego or maybe the thought of moving just hasn't quite sunk in yet. The old me, before Ryan's influence, would have started packing the moment I accepted the job in San Diego 2 months ago. Well I have no doubt that the packing will be done eventually, but that doesn't mean I won't be still packing boxes as they are loading the moving truck at the end of May!
